Scarecrow.I’ve never found them scary. Before now that is. As I rode along the twisting roads along the field the scarecrow silhouetted against that dark gray storm clouds. The only thing accompanying it in the gray backdrop of night was the flashing lightening, brightening the world in a flash, lasting mere milliseconds. The strange lopsided grimace stitched onto its makeshift head in a crazy kind of long stitch reminded me of the kind of thing you would envision on the stereotypical devil. The sweater and jeans hung loosely in the wind. Stray strands of hay poking out, like a bone would If one were to snap off a limb. It’s these small, usuaScarecrow.
